The red wine Pera doce (translated as sweet pear) is top wine.
Something special was created in small quantities from the Syrah, Trincadeira, Aragonez and Alicante Bouschet grapes.
With a garnet red color, a wonderfully fruity aroma slightly reminiscent of mint, vanilla and black chocolate. The taste is silky and cultivated, with very fine tannins and a long finish. Matured in French oak barrels.
Growing region: Alentejo.
The term Reserva refers to red wines that have to mature for a full three years, i.e. 36 months, before being sold - at least twelve months of which in oak barrels. The wine can spend the rest of the time in the bottle. As a rule, the time in the barrel is longer than the aging time in the bottle.
