This shredded basil belongs to the mint family and delights with its pleasantly spicy, fresh fragrance. It's a true classic of Mediterranean cuisine and lends a distinctive aroma to many dishes.
Ideal for refining tomato sauces, pizza, pasta, soups, and vegetable dishes—but also excellent with legumes, fish, pork, and veal. Basil pairs particularly well with garlic, oregano, and thyme.
Tip: It is best to add the shredded basil shortly before the end of the cooking time – this way its full aroma is retained.
