Fuet Extra is a delicacy in Portugal. It is handcrafted according to traditional recipes from selected pork in natural casings.
Perfect to complement your cold cuts, accompany your favorite cheese and enjoy a good red wine.
Fuet Extra is a thin, air-dried, hard sausage related to salami, which is cured in an edible natural casing for a good four weeks. This sausage is characterized by its comparatively softer consistency and sweeter flavor, which is also due to the curing process with the noble mold.
Traditionally, the wafer-thin, edible natural casing with the fine noble mold is left in place, and the Fuet Extra is served cut into wafer-thin slices.
