Only since 2010 has the Tejo region, named after the River Tejo, which flows from southern Portugal into the Atlantic near Lisbon, been a protected quality wine-growing region. This aromatic wine made from the wine varieties Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Castelao, which were already grown by the Romans, is as wild as the Lusitano horses, Cavalo Bravo = wild horse.
The region's soils and climate allow the production of round, polished wines.
A wonderfully shiny ruby red color with purple reflections, fruity aromas of wild blackberries, strawberry, caramel and a memory of mocha. The tannins are well integrated, with a long finish.
Close your eyes, think of the Lusitanian horses and enjoy this originality of origin in your mind.

The term Reserva refers to red wines that have to mature for a full three years, i.e. 36 months, before being sold - at least twelve months of which in oak barrels. The wine can spend the rest of the time in the bottle. As a rule, the time in the barrel is longer than the aging time in the bottle.
