The 2020 vintage was awarded the Portuguese gold medal uva de ouro 2021. A well-balanced, fruity red wine. Medium dry with medium, pleasant acidity and rather mild tannins. It was aged for three months in new oak barrels, giving it more complex, warmer chocolate and spice notes. Composed of the wood-ripened grape varieties Aragonês, Touriga Nacional and Trincadeira. Color: intense ruby ​​red.
Ideal with grilled, red meat, salads, poultry and fish dishes.

Serving temperature: 14°C-16°C.

Growing region: Alentejo.

    Why does the wine have this name?
    The Little Owl (Athene noctua) is the easiest nocturnal predatory bird to observe due to its partially diurnal habits (preferably at dawn and dusk).
    It usually hovers over the vineyard and takes refuge in ruins or piles of rocks across the property's 3,000 acres. A curious and elegant animal that gives its name to a voluptuous and rich wine.
