The salmon-colored lentils cook quickly and do not need to be soaked. These types of lentils, which are easily digestible, have a nice, nutty taste. Often used in fish, meat and vegetable dishes. Goes well with all salads and is the king of vegetarian hamburgers. The legume is very rich in nutrients. Above all, it is an important supplier of vegetable proteins (protein). Lentils contain more protein than any other legume. They therefore offer an attractive alternative to meat, although plant-based protein sources, unlike meat, have virtually no fat. Lentils have a high proportion of fiber and complex carbohydrates. Lentils are used in soups, stews, salads and much more.

  • Verpackung
    Transport packaging: cellophane
    Packaging that looks like plastic
    but it's not plastic.

Cellophane is the common name for cellophane.
Cellular glass is a purely natural product made from the renewable raw material cellulose (usually broken wood).

Cellular glass is 100% biodegradable, compostable and dissolves completely without leaving any residue. Cellular glass is also suitable for allergy sufferers and MCS sufferers. Cellular glass is food-safe and contains no plasticizers or coatings.

A thin, colorless and transparent viscose film with the characteristic crackle effect is made from cellophane. This is then used to make our block bottom bags.

Cellular glass is breathable, permeable to water vapor, tasteless and odorless.

The production costs of cellophane block bottom bags are relatively high.
However, if you take into account the follow-up costs compared to eliminating plastic bags,
    The cellophane bags perform well.

The normal cooking time for red lentils
    is approx. 10 minutes.
It is not recommended red lentils
    soak beforehand.
    The color fades when cooked.
Red lentils break down quickly and overcook easily.
Here the pot needs to be big enough so that they don't boil over and you should stir every now and then.
As a rule of thumb, you can say that lentils should be cooked in twice the amount of water
The pot should then be no more than two thirds full.
