The oranges have a good, intense fruity aroma and are currently nice and sweet.
Our sun-ripened, natural navel oranges are not sorted by size. We ship small and large fruits as the trees produce them. The skin of the fruit is a beautiful bright orange, but may still have green nuances in November/December. The green chlorophyll in the peels only breaks down at low temperatures.
Why do navel oranges have a small, internal fruit called a navel? The initial goal with this variety was to incorporate the fruit's seeds into the navel and then breed it completely seedless. This has now been achieved. The so-called navel is now also seedless.

We are one of the few producers who actually own and operate our own citrus plantation! From planting and caring for the trees, to harvesting the fruit, to shipping the fruit directly to your door.
What can you look forward to:
You'll receive freshly harvested, sun-ripened, and natural navel oranges. Depending on the variety, our citrus fruits ripen on the tree for up to a year. When you order from our orange shop today, the navel oranges are still hanging on our trees. The fruit is only harvested for your order.

To be clear again: the natural fruits we send you are generally not available at this stage of ripeness, without ethylene fumigation and toxic anti-mold dipping baths. And for good reason:
As producers, we lose a significant portion of our production due to late harvesting. Some fruits may not "make it" to transport, and you're also experiencing the delicate balance between ripe fruit and natural decay.
The taste, however, is convincing!
Be clear: You're ordering natural fruit, not industrial goods. We don't oppose the natural coexistence that should exist in an ecosystem. With us, you won't find a monoculture plantation, but rather a large "garden" in harmony with nature. An oasis for humans and animals. Therefore, it's important to store the fruit in a cool, dry place (1-6°C in the refrigerator).
