The story behind it:
This traditional liqueur dates back to the late 19th century. A traveling port wine merchant fell in love with the daughter of a pharmacist in Lousã. The two married, and the pharmacy, which sold not only medicines but also natural liqueurs made according to secret recipes, became the setting for this story of love and pleasure.
