Really dark-ripened, brown/black olives of the Empeltre variety marinated in extra virgin olive oil. A "pearl" in the world of olives.
Made in a traditional way.
These naturally black olives are harvested when fully ripe.
They are therefore slightly softer in consistency and the skin of the olive is wrinkled. They are debittered with sea salt and extra virgin olive oil. The oil is allowed to drip off and the olives are filled into the jars when they are quite dry. (This means that the olives are only slightly oily.) The taste of this olive is slightly sweet, creamy with delicate flesh.
