Intense thyme from Ervas da Zoé, obtained from the Portuguese variety Thymus mastichina – also known as Portuguese Marjoram thyme. This distinctive thyme variety differs significantly from classic thyme (Thymus vulgaris) and impresses with its particularly strong, almost balsamic-fresh aroma.
Thymus mastichina contains a high proportion of essential oils and is valued in traditional Portuguese herbal medicine as well as in fine cuisine. Whether as a tea, for flavoring dishes, or for making your own herbal oils – this thyme is versatile and adds a distinctive, intense flavor.
