This dark Pu-erh tea comes from the southern Chinese province of Yunnan, the birthplace of genuine Pu-erh tea. It is made from larger leaves of Camellia sinensis and is classified as a post-fermented tea – in China as "red tea".
Pu-erh tea is famous for its earthy, full-bodied flavor with soft, often slightly sweet aromas. As it matures, it develops an even more complex and rounded flavor profile, much like a fine red wine. Therefore, pu-erh can be stored for years without losing quality – on the contrary, it improves with age.
This Pu Erh is mild in caffeine, easily digestible, and is often valued for its traditional use as a supportive measure.
