Excellent for snacking, salad, cereal, desserts, cheese, ice cream and meat dishes. After almonds, it contains the most fat of all fruits, namely 70%. On the other hand, it contains absolutely no cholesterol, but contains many unsaturated mono fatty acids.
The pecan is a relative of the walnut. The tree can reach a height of up to 30 meters and forms a large, shady crown. The surface of the elongated nutshell is very smooth and shiny. The special thing about the shell is its small thickness, because the pecan can often be cracked without a nutcracker, just with your hands. Inside the shell there are two elongated nut kernels that are very similar to walnuts.
