Mildly spicy, hot and somewhat bitter, it colors all dishes with its bright yellow.
The pieces often have small holes. This is due to growth. It is used in many traditional dishes, especially in Indian cuisine.
You can find it as an ingredient in almost every good curry, pancake or in vegetable side dishes such as fried eggplant.
Turmeric also tastes good in drinks – for example a smoothie or the Ayurvedic medicinal drink “Golden Milk”.
