The red potato (batata vermelha/roxa) has a reddish skin and a beautiful yellow, firm flesh. Mainly waxy, with a spicy aromatic taste.
Versatile, ideal for potato salad, cooking for fried potatoes, gratin, casserole, tortilla, fries and baking. When cooking for jacket potatoes with skin, they color
the potatoes are slightly red - nice effect on the eye.
