Large Papaya / Mamão

This large papaya is called Mamão in Portugal and Brazil. In length up to approx. 25 cm, in weight approx. Ø 1.3 - 1.7 kg per piece. The flesh is light orange to pink. Pleasantly sweet, creamy taste. The fruits are harvested physiologically ripe. This means that only when the fruits have reached a level of ripeness where they are still transportable, but can and should continue to ripen!
A notice:
The peel quickly becomes stained and the base of the stem becomes soft and unsightly. Unfortunately, this cannot be avoided, but it does not harm the elegant taste of the fruit. These ripening points make the fruit really sweet. The upper part of the fruit is bitter and is not eaten.
