It was already a popular all-round spice in ancient times in combination with pomegranate seeds, anise, coriander and pepper. Particularly gentle on the stomach. Versatile spice. For refining fatty meat and poultry as well as lamb and pork, for marinades, sauces, dressings (salad vinaigrette), mayonnaise, dips, for flavoring sea fish, seafood and shellfish, vegetables, potatoes, for seasoning dishes from Indian and oriental cuisine.

    delicate, as it has a very intense taste (unit of measurement: tip of a knife). Whole fennel seeds develop their aroma best if they are lightly crushed shortly before use (e.g. in a mortar).
