The inner bag of the box collapses as you dispense the pear direct juice. Therefore, no oxygen can enter through the patented tap, which prevents the product from fermenting. This ensures the fresh pear direct juice stays good for at least 2 weeks after opening while retaining its vitamins. 

The origin of Pera Rocha production lies in the west of the country, but its popularity has spread to other regions as well. The pear grown in the west of the country bears a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) (DOP-Denominação de Origem Protegida) and is recognized as "Pera Rocha do Oeste".
