The small, aromatic, tasty Madeira banana is something special. Grown by small banana farmers in the southwest of the island of Madeira, on terraces with mineral-rich volcanic soil, with a lot of handwork and love, and then traded "fairly".
A notice:
The Madeira banana has a firmer core than South American bananas. Even if the peel of the banana is already yellow, or dark brown and spotted, the banana is still very easy to eat and is firm on the inside. The plantations on the slopes are quite small, making the production of bananas quite labor-intensive.
