Bacon avocados are one of the first varieties in autumn.
The oval fruit impresses with its thin, smooth, light green skin and pleasantly creamy, slightly nutty flesh. Its mild flavor blends perfectly with a variety of dishes without overpowering them.

The buttery texture makes the bacon avocado particularly tender and smooth – which is why it is also affectionately called “bacon avocado”.

General information about avocados:
Our fruit is always harvested hard, but at optimal ripeness. Avocados do not ripen on the tree. Like bananas, avocados only ripen after harvest, at room temperature. To promote the ripening process, they should be stored at room temperature, ideally between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. Once they have reached optimal ripeness and the skin yields under light pressure, they are ready to eat. They can then be refrigerated to extend their shelf life.
