Apple and chestnut fruit spread / Beirabaga / Doce de maça e castanha, 270g
Apple and chestnut fruit spread / Beirabaga / Doce de maça e castanha, 270g is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The intense aroma of fresh apples combines harmoniously with the delicate melting of small pieces of chestnut. National apples and chestnuts from the northeastern region of Trás-os-Montes are used. The fruit spreads are made from fresh fruit from our own fruit farm.
The recipes were devised by monastery women at a time when gelling agents, preservatives, artificial flavors and colors were unthinkable. To this day they contain no colorings or preservatives and no flavor enhancers. Only ripe fruits and sugar/honey are used.
Over the last two decades, Beirabaga has won many medals and awards in various national competitions for products made from traditional Portuguese fruits.
