A unique flavor combination: Beirabaga's apple and chestnut fruit spread combines the fresh aroma of sun-ripened apples with the nutty, smooth texture of fine chestnut pieces. Only regional fruit from Trás-os-Montes, a traditional growing region in northeastern Portugal, is used for this exceptional combination.
Like all Beirabaga fruit spreads, this specialty is based on a traditional monastery recipe, completely free of artificial colors, preservatives, gelling agents, and flavorings. Only fully ripened fruit and sugar or honey are used – nothing more is needed for an authentic, natural treat.
Thanks to the gentle production process on our own fruit farm, we create a high-quality fruit spread that is ideal on bread, with cheese or as a sophisticated ingredient in autumnal recipes.
Beirabaga has already been honored with numerous national awards and medals for its products – a sign of genuine craftsmanship and uncompromising quality.
