The popular Kiwi Gold also grows here in Portugal, in the Douro Valley. In addition to its smooth, barely hairy skin and the somewhat exotic taste, this yellow-fleshed variety also has more vitamin C content than the green-fleshed variety.
Ready to eat:
are the fruits when they give in very easily. While they are still quite firm, they need a good amount of time to ripen at room temperature.
In November/December the fruits have a firmer consistency.
