The raspberry fruit spread was awarded the gold medal in a national competition in 2015.
The fruit spreads are made from fresh fruit from our own fruit farm.
The recipes were devised by monastery women at a time when gelling agents, preservatives, artificial flavors and colors were unthinkable. To date, the products do not contain any colorings or preservatives or flavor enhancers. Only ripe fruits and sugar/honey are used.
Over the last two decades, Beirabaga has won many medals and awards in various national competitions for fruit spreads made from traditional Portuguese fruits.
