The location of the hives is on the slopes of the Serra da Malcata. The bees bring in nectar from wild lavender and heather honey. In this way you get a honey that combines the gentleness of wild lavender honey with the originality of heather honey. It is dark amber in color.
It was awarded the silver medal in the 2010 Portuguese honey competition.
