Dried flower tea is also known as mallow tea and karkadeh tea.
Not all hibiscus flowers are tasty and therefore not all of them are suitable for making tea. You can infuse the flowers, but the brew is not tasty. Only the flowers of the mallow species Hibiscus sabdariffa are used for tasty hibiscus tea.
The malic, citric and tartaric acids contained in the hibiscus flower make the hibiscus flower tea an aromatic tea. The taste is slightly sour, but always fruity.

    Preparation:
    Hibiscus flower tea should be prepared at 100 °C with a steeping time of 5 to 10 minutes.
    For one liter of hibiscus flower tea, 3 to 4 heaped tablespoons are needed.
