  • Verpackung
    Transport packaging: cellophane
    Packaging that looks like plastic
    but it's not plastic.

Cellophane is the common name for cellophane.
Cellular glass is a purely natural product made from the renewable raw material cellulose (usually broken wood).

Cellular glass is 100% biodegradable, compostable and dissolves completely without leaving any residue. Cellular glass is also suitable for allergy sufferers and MCS sufferers. Cellular glass is food-safe and contains no plasticizers or coatings.

A thin, colorless and transparent viscose film with the characteristic crackle effect is made from cellophane. This is then used to make our block bottom bags.

Cellular glass is breathable, permeable to water vapor, tasteless and odorless.

The production costs of cellophane block bottom bags are relatively high.
However, if you take into account the follow-up costs compared to eliminating plastic bags,
    The cellophane bags perform well.

    Fig jam with red wine:

    250 g dried figs
    500 ml water
    400 ml dry red wine
    500 preserving sugar 2:1
1 teaspoon grated peel of an untreated orange
1 teaspoon grated zest of an untreated lemon
    3 tbsp lemon juice
    1 pinch of cinnamon
some vanilla (vanilla sticks or 1 drop of vanilla oil)

Chop or puree the dried figs very finely. Then bring the figs to the boil with water, lemon juice and all the spices and simmer for a few minutes. Stir in the preserving sugar and finally add the red wine. Bring everything to the boil again quickly and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
    Don't forget to stir.
    Pour everything into glasses immediately.
The jars should be left upside down for a few minutes so that the figs are well distributed throughout the jar.
A delight for a special breakfast.
