Extra long natural whole grain rice. Natural rice has a significantly higher proportion of fiber and minerals, vitamins and polyunsaturated fatty acids than conventional rice. This is because the rice grains are not polished and their so-called “silver skin” is retained - so the nutrients are not lost. Cooking time approx. 22-24 minutes.
Rice has been cultivated in Portugal since the rule of the Moors. Then as now, rice is grown in the basins of the Mondego, Tejo, Sorraia, Sado and Guadiana rivers.
