Blue, juicy fruits with easily removable stones. The fruits are oval, and the flesh has a beautiful greenish-yellow hue.
They contain less water than plums, and because the stone comes off particularly easily, the fruits are often used for baking fruit cakes.
Plums are rich in vitamins and nutrients: especially vitamins A and E, but also B vitamins are found in these small fruits. But that's not all – they also provide trace elements and minerals such as potassium, copper, iron, and zinc. They contain less water than prunes, and because the pit is particularly easy to remove, they are often used for baking fruit cakes.
